Couldn't bump the old thread, so here's an interesting starting point.

SECSolomonGrundy 8/20/14

quote:

Cam Robinson will be the starter at LT
Tony Brown will be a big contributor
Marlon Humphrey will be a contributor
Deshawn Hand will be a contributor
Shaun Dion Hamilton will be a contributor
Freshman punter
Hootie Jones will probably be a ST contributor
Rashaan Evans will be a contributor and a garbage time nightmare
Jarren Reed was starting at DE before his DUI
Josh Casher and Ross Peirschbacher seem ready to contribute this year

but probably above all of those, DJ Pettway will be a starter and will probably lead the team in sacks and/or TFL. he could be an All-SEC player at the end of the year. (although he is not a freshman, he was a part of the last signing class).

You're starting a "freshman class revisit" thread and the subject of your thread is Alabama's freshman class? Holy shite, the obsession is strong today.

Your sig is the best one. Where has Ystar been at lately?

Could you at least include a link for the old thread in your OP?

Probably selling his evaluations to Bama recruiters.

Didn't a lot of what he typed happen anyways?

LSU's class did about what most expected. No one could have dreamed the QB play was going to be as shitty as it was. Not going through the link, but i'm sure there's a ton of LSU fans touting Dupre and Quinn. they were both solid contributors that didn't have anyone to get the ball in their hands.

-Godchaux was a big surprise
-Sione was a pleasant surprise
-garrett was more of a project than initially realized

I don't either. there's a 1000 better threads to revisit than this one. the main quote he put in the OP wasn't even outrageously off-base

If Jacob was so good why did he not start last year?

Every one hated on Blake Sims allllllllll off season saying he could never lead a Bama team to victory over any of the top half of the SEC teams. Then Bama won the SEC. So hopefully the rant idiots have learned to keep their mouths shut until football season starts.

Great player, but we will also have an outstanding run defense. What are you guys bringing back on the Oline from last years great line?

I hope you're including Bama fans in this because, as a whole, the Bama fanbse was hating on him more than any other.
