Just a broad subject. Hopefully can get some good dialogue going which is rare on here. Where is your school headed in football? LSU keeps getting tons of talent.. Except for quarterback. Although I will say, QBs are hard to come by lately. It's not Arron Murray, AJ McCarron, Tim Tebow, Mettenberger, Newton, etc..

LSU has probably had the most talented team from top to bottom except for one position that matters. Alabama '11 had a great team and a serviceable quarterback and won for example. LSU has been on the recent decline because quarterback play holds them back and some CLM decisions. I'm not sure that Brandon Harris is the answer. I trust the coaches to play the best player to win and if they quit playing BH, it was because he wasn't all he planned out to be. I still hold out. He was a true freshman.

I loved Chavis. Great defense mind. Last couple of years have fallen off from the level that LSU's defense has been. I don't like the Steele hire. Who knows. Great hire in Coach O.

Honestly, I just want LSU to go back to continuously winning 10 games a year.

Arkansas is vastly improved. Their about to usher in their streak of great seasons. Physical style of play. Finished on a strong note. Just need to find a better quarterback than Brandon Allen. Arkansas runs the same offense currently that LSU does with more wrinkles to keep the defense guessing.

Auburn. I've been back and forth on auburn. Either seem to be #1 or nothing. I can't stand the HUNH. I think it just puts too much pressure on your defense. If your offense sputters, you're screwed. Will Muschamp? Ha. It's a good try. Won't pan out. I think they'll remain near the top of the league as long as they recruit well which they have been. Defense wins championships.

Alabama. Nick Saban. Who can go against that? Just plug and place in the holes. Find a serviceable QB and move on. Feel like Saban has 4 years left then Chip Kelly takes over after he sells the Eagles' soul to get Mariota and gets fired. Just got to get CBs. Strange considering CNS was a defensive back.

A&M has all the potential to be where Arkansas is. Just a couple of years behind. Chavis will correct the defense till he leaves and they'll be fine pending the new hire. Sumlin is the poor man's Gus. Too many holes on the defense currently.

Ole Miss is improving year in and year out. Offensive line is atrocious outside Tunsil. Big hole at QB. Need to make serious noise this year, because the draft is about to rape them. Just need to keep up the success. And for the love of God switch to a 4-3 instead of the 4-2-5. You need the third linebacker.

Moo St. Great season. Recruiting wasn't stellar but not bad. Keeping Dak was huge. Recruiting is the biggest obstacle here. Just getting the talent and depth to compete consistently. Think they significantly drop off this season but will mature more with time.

If Chip took over after Saban.....I'd fap for eternity.

LSU kinda blows my mind. I just don't understand what Les and that offense have been doing. Hell, for all the shite Saban catches for not adapting, and being in control of a ground and pound offense, even he has realized that his offense has to take chances and score points now.

I think Auburn will be a slightly different, but worse version of themselves next year.

Arkansas should be improved, but good enough to win the West? Eh...

I think Alabama wins it if they can get good QB play.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to list the rest.

I wouldn't say recruiting is the biggest obstacle after winning 10 games. Mullen recruits mostly by evaluating talent with his own eyes, and he's done an exceptional job with that. In fact, that's what he seems to do best, recruit and develop. Freeze knows all about Mullen's ability to find talent.
