Alvin Kamara - Transfer to JUCO, now at Tennessee

Altee Tenpenny - Often in the doghouse, Transfer to Arkansas State

Tyren Jones - dismissed after weed arrest

Derrick Henry - Incumbent Starter, deemed best of the class anyway

Bama fans, did you expect to have this type of attrition at this position for this class?

Yes. They were only four stars because they committed to us.

Opposing fanbases foresaw something like that happening. My posts indicate that I expected transfers and attrition from at least 2, Tyren Jones and Alvin Kamara. I thought Alter Tenpenny would eventually started while Derrick Henry moved to linebacker.

To be fair, most Bama fans saw it coming as well. Maybe not to this extent, but we knew we wouldn't have all four for four years.

The most impressive part of this to me, is how Bama can lose 3 four stars and still have one of the best RB groups in the SEC.

I fully expected half to leave. Those kids and their parents are idiots for committing to a school with that many stud HB's in the same class. I don't understand the thought process.

At RB? Sure, there's only one ball.

the thought of james wilder moving to LB made sense he was a stud in hs(had over 100 tackles 20 sacks etc his sr year) but i dont think henry ever played much defense it would of been really tough for him

They probably all thought they could have a Ingram-Trent-Lacy type back field. Were one goes to the NFL and the other moves up and doesn't miss a beat. We probably wont ever be that lucky again.

Not only those 4 guys, but there was already a lot of young talent on campus. I assumed AK would be the 1st to go as I simply don't think he's that good. I'm not especially surprised. You could easily find yourself 4th or 5th string in that log-jam. Kids Bama brings in aren't used to that.

I thought at least two would move
to other positions. RB is a spot where you can find yourself depth deprived quickly, so I don't have issue with multiple RB signees in some cycles.

Saban is the only coach I know of that will recruit a kid if he's the top 1-2 recruit from his home state, just to keep the home state school from getting him, REGARDLESS OF NEED.

I guess most schools don't have that luxury to waste a scholarship in such a way.

To be fair, it would be hard to turn down that much cash at that age
