They were actually pretty fun to take part in, but usually the good awards went to the IM crowd. So it was sort of a wash.
I would suspect that any type of popularity contest would fall the same way now, too.

What's the criteria? Can I vote for someone for the sheer hilarity of them fricking things up? I vote for titties for UK because he lacks all self awareness and it pisses everyone off (me included sometimes!). He's like an unintentional version of kills.

For me it honestly just depends on the sport. There are a lot of good posters on this site (despite popular belief) and some of them I value their football info more, and others basketball. People who tend to give more of a non-bias point of view instead of just pumping up their own teams are the posters I enjoy more, and I know that's how I try to be.
From UGA, we have a bunch in Dallas, Crowknowsbest, Durden, to IT, WG, TD, Crispy, along with Jeff and DGD. I'm sure I left out some too.
From other teams I know I respect RockyMtnTigerWDE, Cas4t, NorthGaVol, Spartygator, and Tornado Alley. I know I'm leaving out a lot of people too so I apologize if anyone is offended. Except for Rebelgator... That guy can blow me (just kidding man, I'm sure you'll grow on me at some point.)
