Mainly wondering what happens if a player withdraws from school for the remainder of the spring semester that they announce.

I fiugre Kentucky fans would be able to explain this best since the players that leave there do it in such a way as to not negatively affect the APR score.

Thanks in advance.

As long as the players complete their academic spring requirements it doesn't effect the APR. So far, Daniel Orton is the only player Cal has had leave early and not do so (it applies to transfers as well).

Okay. Thanks. Thats what I thought.

There is a rumor out there that an LSU player has withdrawn from school because he will be declaring for the NBA draft.

Given the egg he laid in the tournament game, fricking us on the way out seems like an appropriate exit strategy.

Well as long as your other guys took care of business then you should be ok. You'll take a ding but as long as it's not multiple guys in multiple years you're safe.

If a school could get a kid to come back and try and complete classes/pursue a degree a la Cam Newton, it also qualifies for readjustment

Orton completely left campus to go workout with Blake Griffin's trainer iirc.

You always try to keep three 4.0's down on the far end of the bench....

Not sure what exactly the formula is, but I believe it can have a major effect.

From what I remember, the APR score is what caused Southern (small, majority black BR school) to be ineligible for NCAA play. They advanced to the SWAC tourney finals, but would not have been in the NCAA if they'd won
