Why does Florida OWN Patrick Murphy's teams?

If you look at the overall record, it's decently close...but Florida has owned our arse on the softball diamond the last 5 or 6 seasons, especially if it's a big game. Murph is our own version of Bobby Cox. He'll get you in the playoffs every year, just don't expect to win them.

It's our cross to bear sadly. I was so sure that it would take finally beating UF in the WCWS semis (where they always got us) ala the Red Sox and Yankees in 2004 to lift this curse they have on us.
But yeah, frick Tim Walton, may he and his descendents be forced to forever live in an area with a Comcast monopoly.

Yep. UF is a great program and always seems to have an ace pitcher. We've won some and lost some but they've definitely had our number in the WCWS. Which makes it all the more awesome that we got a NC before them

While they have had great success, Alabama won a national title sooner and Florida has equal number. It hurts knowing they've had our number the last couple of years, but lets not act like we aren't competitive. Florida is that good.
We need to be more worried about LSU and Auburn. The Aubs have invested in softball and it's showing.

Remember too, there's 10x more parity in softball than say, gymnastics, where we finish top 3 or 4 for the past 2 decades. It's almost impossible to establish a dynasty or the consistency of Saban or Patterson. We have the best attendance, top of the line facilities and reel in big recruits every year. It doesn't get much better than deep trips into the world series almost every other year. Let Auburn worry about Auburn.

I think it will be 2/1 series as usual...with them winning the series once in a while.
