I think he stays another year at WSU to coach those two but even so I doubt he will be in play at MU. The Texas job will be of interest to him this year. I think he would also have more interest in the 'Bama and Tennessee jobs this year then he would MU next year. I think he holds out for one of the plum jobs though. I think we need to get over thinking he will ever end up in CoMo. Sampson would be a disaster hire for us. He is shady and the NCAA would be watching him from the day he stepped foot on campus. Many MU fans can't stand him. There is a reason he is at Houston.

The best thing we can do is pray that Ron Baker and Fred Van Fleet return for their senior seasons, leading Marshall to stay for one more. Also pray that Tom Crean stays at Indiana. That gives KA one year to turn it around, or be fired. Rhoades hired Kelvin Sampson. I'd reckon thats a pretty solid hire. Getting a coach who had been to Final Four and Oklahoma and coach at Indiana to come to Houston...thats a good sell.

I don't think he did but if he tanked this year on purpose then he should be fired.

I'm Kinda convinced that KA sorta tanked this year on purpose. Although at the D2 level he usually had a top 50ish type of offense, while only slightly above average defenses. He spent so much time on defense and so little on offense. Not sure why he would go away from his specialty. I'm looking for a greatly improved offense from Mizzou next year, and with that hopefully a big bump in wins.

With that logic we should have probably lost the Elon, SEMO, LSU, and Florida games as well. We were lucky to really win all four of those.

There were 5 games we could have won this year that we lost by less than 6 points. That would have giving us 14 wins and close to a .500 record which I think would have been great. We did not have one player get hot in any of those games. If we could have gotten someone hot like Gant or Wright did in the Florida game( I cannot remember which one got hot) we would have won those games.

I may be the only one, but I really hope Bama breaks open the vault and lands Marshall. It will keep the pressure on KA to produce and on Rhoades to do something about it if KA doesn't.

Plus it should shut up the people who keep excusing our mediocre hires because "good coaches won't come here."

It won't. But it should.
