Would this be a good hire? I do not know much about basketball. I go to a few games just to support the team but I don't know the good coach candidates. I think they need to build a new facility to get a great coach.

Yes, it would be a phenomenal hire.
He's at least a top 10 basketball coach in the country and may be top 5.

I'd say he's top 8 for sure, but he may be top 5. Sean Miller, Roy Williams, and Bill Self (yes, I know he just lost to Marshall) are all in the same group with Marshall.

On even ground, Marshall would consistently coach circles around Self and Willians. The story is still being written for Sean Miller. Izzo and K are a step above, but it's hard for me say where Cal stands as he plays with a much better roster 99% of the time.

I live in Wichita. IMO we need to throw the bank at him, because I think he is one of the best coaches I've ever seen.
Also, I'm enjoying stirring up trouble amongst the natives at even the idea that he could be hired away at Alabama.

Bo Ryan, Bennett at UVa, Boeheim, Kruger is pretty solid. Just to name a few names that don't come up often.
