Sometimes I feel like music from the 1970s was made to be listened to while screwed up. Nothing else really comes close.

Yes, I'm drink.

I was able to get OFF drugs listening to Jimi Hendrix. Ended up with 29 Hendrix CD's. Went to sleep every night listening to him. After about 3 weeks I was remembering 5 or 6 dreams per night and all of them were awesomer and trippier than tripping.

While I WAS still getting fricked up it was probably Pink Floyd, but it's hard to say. Everything was good/better/best when frippin'.

For me it's blues/funk/soul, especially of the New Orleans variety.

Depends what kind of drunk and what I'm doing.

If I'm just chilling then I listen to alt pop.

If I'm partying I'll listen to today's hip hop.

If I'm hanging with friends then a mix of oldies and today's pop. Sing a long music.

If drinking most likely 70s rock. If I'm high I usually listen to Boards of Canada. It makes me reminiscent of growing up.

Early Kansas
Jean-Luc Ponty
Yes
Jaco Pastorius

Old country. Hank Sr., Conway, Johnny Cash, D.A.C., etc. You can hear so many little subtle sounds and harmonies when fricked up that add so much to the songs.

And of course Nirvana, because drugs.
