Are they paying you for this terrific advertising?

1) Anybody could have told you that you can't get a descent plate of nutria at any restaurant in Alabama.
2) So you can't deal with an honest suggestion?

My personal hope is that we get Ben Howland, because he wants to coach and not a lot of great teams are beating down his door offering him the job. Admittedly, I have no clue when it comes to college basketball outside of Alabama, the SEC, and the top teams. I'm not "delusional" and saying that Alabama is definitely gonna get a top tier coach. For all I know, we'll hire the crappiest coach available I have no clue.

First, who cares??? (other than LSU fans with an inferiority complex)

We'll get who we get. We certainly have the money to get someone good.

Second, who ever cares what Tim Brando says???

I remember when Tom Izzo's name was mentioned because he and Nick Saban were "friends" when Nick coached at MSU.

Wouldn't be surprised if the same delusional fans say that again.

Look who is calling the kettle black. To fricking funny! Bama fan would be the first to start a thread like this if the shoe was on our foot! Be careful when pointing your finger you know what they say?

Tom Izzo will 100% be the Alabama basketball coach next season. It's a done deal.

Shaka Smart would be an amazing "get", but he's entrenched in the culture he has built at VCU, and 100% invested in his recruits.

Another top assistant type will likely get the job. That's not a bad thing obviously, depending on where they go to get them...

Bacari Alexander - Michigan
Eric Musselman - LSU
Jeff Boals - Ohio Satte
Steve Robinson - UNC
Dwayne Stevens (sp) - Michigan State

Stevens will be the next Duke coach
Few is not leaving Gonzaga ever
Smart will not follow his mentor Grant to Bama since they just fired him
Marshall might be an option

He's just saying what everyone outside of Louisiana is thinking but doesn't want to say out loud.

From what I hear Phil Jackson is begging for the job but Coach Battle is taking his time thinking out who to pick

Phil is the backup in case they can't hammer out the final details on the Gregg Popovich contract. They are real close though.

I thought Michael Jordan reached out to Bill Battle. Said he was tired of being an owner, wanted to sell the Hornets and get into coaching?

Word is a committee has formed that will hear both candidates' pitch, and select the one they feel will be the best fit.
