If you ever go to Gulf Shores from March to November, and you're there on a Tuesday or Wednesday, you can go over to Pcola and watch them practice. It's free, but for an even better show, for $20 reserve a space on the catwalk at the top of the lighthouse across the street from the runway by the Naval Aviation Museum.

grew up in a naval town... i was blue angeled out before i was a teen. still cool to see them practicing. a childhood neighbor was one a few years ago, according to my facebook.

Was surf fishing one afternoon between GulfShores and Fort Morgan when I look up and a BA flys down the beach upside down, and he was low when he went by me.
He put on a show for about 5 minutes then flew back to base.
