From the link in that story:
quote:

Blue Bell churns out millions in sales each year and lured loyal customers Millicent Frances and Christian Monday to Blue Bell's parlor hours after the company's first recall 108 became public.

"I want to eat ice cream," Frances said.

When asked if she had any concerns, Frances replied, "No, I pray over my food."

No one suspected the infection came from ice cream until four strains of listeria monocytogenes were found in Blue Bell products last month by the South Carolina Health Department.

Never had it.

Blue Bell is the most local carried in my neighborhood Walgreens. I guess Yarnell's is the Arkansas primary brand, and Hiland Dairy is the North Arkansas cheapo brand.

I'm not in the mood for any ice cream now that I know it can kill you. Everything can kill you these days, though.

It was literally their first recall in 108 years too. Crazy.
