This is probably completely unfair to Shea Patterson, and I have no idea if the comparison is even accurate, but in my own mind I've always kinda pictured him as the real life version of Friday Night Lights character JD McCoy.
For those who haven't seen the show, the character was a cocky kid who had a meddlesome father and his own private QB coach. He moves to the town/transfers to the school in which the show is set amid much fanfare and basically demands/expects to be the starting QB as soon as he arrives.
I'm probably being unfair to a teenager whom I don't even know, but it's fun to envision Shea in this way because, like melodramatic TV shows, sports need villains. And there are a few similarities, superficial as they may be.

Shea Patterson is actually the COMPLETE opposite. If you met him in person you'd never even know he was a highly rated guy. You'd probably laugh an say "gah you look like you'd be a good ball player" and he'd still just say thank you. Because of the way things have played out people and media have tried to make Shea out as this cocky kid but he's not. I hate it's played out like this and the drama that happened but he's a good kid and one of the hardest working quarterbacks I've ever seen. Ole miss got a good one. I wish him well until he plays my tigers lol

Sean was hired Feb. 23. He has been recruiting Louisiana incognito for the past 2 weeks until his hiring was announced.

His familly should move to Mississippi and let him play his senior year at a Mississippi High School.........

Naw we need Shea to keep recruiting Louisianna this year. Ms and La have a hotbed of talent and we need Shea to help recruit La.
