I find it odd that the league's leading scorer isn't first team all SEC. She should also be freshman of the year.

It's sad that the greatest accomplishment in your program's history has to be shared with Tennessee.
South Carolina is done, it's over

It's OK fellow co-champ. I'm dickriding our co-champion basketball team. Something I wouldn't be able to do if there was an outright champion.

Why don't we just settle this argument in the SEC Tourney?
If South Carolina is so good and doesn't want the Co-Champion label the SEC CONFERENCE is giving them, they'll beat TN again in the SECT.

So let me get this right....
You're saying Vivians > Wilson?
I'll give you 1st-team all SEC, Vivians is good... but do you realize A'ja Wilson is coming OFF THE BENCH
Her overall stats would blow Vivians out of the water if Dawn played her like she should be played..

I won't lie, USCe and Coach Staley had a great year. Yes, the UConn game didn't go the way we all hoped for, but Staley seems to be set as the next great WB coach. I'd hire her in a second.

Tennessee won their 16th regular season title since 1990?
Wow...congrats
Wow...congrats

I expect Dykes to do GREAT things for Arkansas! That was a great hire as well...
We really got lucky with Staley, she was coaching at Temple and waiting for her move to a P5 school.. it was one of those things of being available at the right time, kinda like Spurrier..
Yea, she's doing great things for our program. Attendance is sky high. Games are fun. Older fans, alums, and importantly, STUDENTS are showing up to games in droves. We averaged over 14,000 for SEC games this year, which is something people only thought could happen at the UCONNs/Tennessees of the WBB world..
We're pretty committed to Staley too, and she seems to be pretty committed to us too.. turning down several big schools to stay here (Ohio State, UVA etc).. SC is really committed to it's basketball programs in general right now. Staley is making about $800,000 already, and if she takes SC to the Final Four then she'll get bumped over $1,000,000 for sure.
Her bonus for winning the national championship is almost half a million dollars, that's commitment. The school is building a new amazing dorm for athletes/upperclassmen near the basketball arena and we're moving forward with plans to build a new practice facility for men's and women's basketball.. all of that will help Staley recruit, which she's already great at (#2 class last year).. The board of trustees love her, fans love her, Univ president love her, AD loves her, SPURRIER loves her..
She's the type of coach that doesn't like things to be given to her, so I could never see her going to an established program like UCONN/Tennessee.. she wants to build the next UCONN/Tennessee... so any program looking to snatch Staley away from SC better be ready to open the pocketbook.. When you find a great coach, it's important that you give him/her all of the resources necessary to be successful.

stop trying to claim titles when we beat you.
1. I don't think you understand this whole roundball thingy ding. 2. Stop acting like a 'lil bro; Lord knows there's no reason for that. 3. Y'all had an awesome reg season so there's no need for the inferiority complex.
Finally, be proud. Hell I'm proud of y'all for breaking through and a job well done. However, you're co-champs and even if you weren't you have a long way to go. Keep striving for it though. SEC WBB needs more great teams and SC and UK have been really good lately. A strong conference is good for all of us.
TL;DR - Enjoy it. Smell the roses. But don't be insincere about it all.

I actually think both hires will pan out very well. Staley has probably had the misfortune of being really good the season before her team was great. With no insult to the Lady Vols, USCe is setting up their team to be the flag bearer for the SEC.
I think Dykes will have us competitive and put us in good shape to compete in the NCAAT. A year or two down the line we might be able to really make some noise.
Say what you will...but it is a great time to be a fan of WBBall in the SEC.
