I personally find it a little embarrassing to be touting championships that you earned when Georgia Tech and Tulane were part of the SEC, and Bear Bryant was coaching. The premiere football program in the country shouldn't have to result to such measures, but to each his own, I suppose.

Since the formation of the contemporary SEC in 1992 until 2007 when Saban stepped foot in Tuscaloosa, Alabama won the conference twice. Since he's been there, he's failed to separate himself from LSU and Auburn.

I haven't read the thread, but anyone claiming they'd take second and third tier sport championships over Bama's football success is lying.

3 Conference Championships in 8 years.

That would be about 16 years

LSU has won two national titles and played for 3 this century. LSU has won 4 Sec Titles this century. Alabama has won 3 National Titles and 3 Sec Titles this century.

The difference is that LSU has had national success in other sports...bama, not so much.

They've had more success in the last 8 years (Saban's tenure) than they've had since the '70s. And they've still only managed 3 titles in that time.

Yes really, nevermind the 3 bcs titles in that stretch as well. That's as many national titles as lsu has in it's history.

I mean, it's a good run....LSU won 2 BCS titles, and play for another in a 9 year span...so....Auburn has won 1 and played for another in a period of less than 5 years...I mean, it's not like there is some huge gap.

LOL. Recruiting in football is more important than the actual sport of everything else.

Lsu fans saying they would rather have lsu'is accomplishments means that they dont view football as a sport that means the most to them...

I would trade losing every game in every sport for a national title every year in football. Football is king in south.

I wouldn't trade Bamas accomplishments for nothing..

Also, bama has dominated all time head to head vs Lsu in football, basketball, and baseball. Bama has more combined national titles than Lsu in football basketball and baseball. Bama has more combined sec titles than Lsu in football basketball and baseball... Bama is better all time in gymnastics. Bama has been better all time in softball than Lsu. Bama has won the last 2 golf national titles (if Lsu wants to brag about golf national titles then don't hate on bama bragging about football national titles )

Bama is better all time than Lsu in the sports that the most people care about... Fact not fiction

Track and field and golf are the reasons why lsu has more all time national titles than bama...

Bama has more meaningful athletic achievements than lsu... Unless y'all all care about indoor women's track and field

Are we talking actual national titles, or "claimed" national titles? Clearly, yall are the kings of "claimed" titles.

Sorry you dumb gump. You stated the most titles in the sport not the most among current FBS teams. feel free to check my math, but I counted more for Princeton and Yale than the cousin lovers

Also there is not way on God's green Earth that 25 all sports championships is better than 46 (or whatever the numbers were state earlier in this thread). You cannot discount an athletic accomplishment in a discussion about overall athletic history, just because you think it is a minor sport. If you wanted to talk about just major sports or mens sports then yes but not overall athletic accomplishments. Yes Bama has the better football history (I don't think anyone is arguing that), but LSU has the better overall athletic history. I know it blows your tiny gump brain to realize that Alabama sucks in everything but football.

we have 10 coaches/ap poll national titles. more than anyone else.

i dont really care about pre poll era titles.

we're the kings of real national titles too.

hell, usc and notre dame claim pre poll era titles as well. we shouldnt count 1941, but thats about it. ill take undefeated rose bowl champions from the 20s and 30s to call it 14 in an argument.
