Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.

dam, always loved one of his first movies, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", I guess "Spock Prime" will make no more appearances in the ST reboot series, well he lived long and did prosper.

Well, we know all Vulcans don't live to 200. RIP Spock.

Only Captain Kirk, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov remain on the bridge.

Spock's mom was human so technically he was only half-Vulcan.

So far Sulu and Kirk are taking this hard. Haven't heard from Uhura or Chekov but Nimoy was really the glue that bound everyone together and I'm fairly sure he was close to them as well.

Westboro is picketing the funeral. I mean, damn, out of all the people to picket - they decide on Nimoy who was one of the kindest guys ever????
