Do you use straws in your drinks?

At restaurants do you use a straw or drink straight from the cup?
My dad told me once that straws are "for queers and piano players and I've never seen you play a piano". Haven't used a straw since, and when I go through a drive thru I always take the straw out and the top off. Just one of those weird things that's stuck with me through the years

Depends on the quality of the restaurant.
If you don't use a straw in some restaurants, you might be lipping a filthy glass. Plus, regardless, someone has touched the outside of that glass recently.
I've heard the old "aren't you weaned" thing a few times, but all things equal, I prefer a straw.

I pretty much only drink water and beer from a glass. Neither of which require a straw
