Ole Miss looks to get back on the winning track when it hits the road to face in-state rival Mississippi State on Thursday. The Rebels saw their six-game winning streak come to an end when they dropped a 71-70 decision to No. 17 Arkansas on Saturday and turn their attention to beating the Bulldogs for the fourth straight time. "It's an emotional game for all parties," Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy told reporters. "We're 4-2 on the road (in the SEC) so I don't think that the atmosphere will intimidate us."
Mississippi State halted a two-game slide with an exciting 77-74 win over Missouri on Saturday. The Bulldogs have won five conference games for the first time under third-year coach Rick Ray and hope to continue their recent dominance over Ole Miss in Starkville by downing their rival for the sixth consecutive time at Humphrey Coliseum.
Regardless of Ole Miss' struggles in Starkville, this team is more resilient than the Henderson-led squads of previous years. The talent differential is just too much. Ole Miss rolls, 74-63
