The Iron Bowl.
A revenge game vs. an opponent that did one of the greatest plays in the history of college football to beat Alabama at the last second. Started out looking great but then a few mistakes of his tipped the game in Auburn's favor and actually looked like it might be a route at home if Auburn kept going. He even threw an interception to begin the 2nd half and I was just thinking.....you can't be serious. I seriously thought Alabama was gonna lose that game and lose it bad. But then Blake channeled his inner Namath and Amari Cooper went full Josh Reed. Probably one of the greatest turn arounds in a game I've ever seen. Defense held and Blake just threw some of the most beautiful passes I've ever seen.
Dude is a god damn man and deserves every bit of praise he gets now and in the future. He turned an Iron Bowl that looked to be a repeat of last year's disappointment into a rout for the ages.
That's what Alabama football is about. Never backing down and pushing through adversity. Thank God for Blake and Roll Tide. I'm sure he made any and all of our legendary QBs proud that day.
And just because:

He is probably my favorite player of the Saban era. Even in our losses, he NEVER quit. He fought tooth and nail until the end which, like you said, is what it is all about. The guy is a fighter, and a true winner.

Hard for the guy not to be one of your favorite Bama players of all time really. Team player that stuck with it his entire career while getting very little playing time. No quick transfer...no complaints...just working hard to make the team better.
And even when it was his turn and nobody in the world thought he could do what he did....he played with poise and confidence to be the best he could be...and he shocked us all. I'll be telling my future kids about him.
I salute you Blake Sims.

I give credit to him and agree. Under Saban maybe the best QB to date and because he played harder than others before him, never gave up, and always put the team first. Where he may of lacked in some skill areas he made up for it with his determination and never die attitude.

I really wish we had one more year of him. I think another year under his belt would've done him wonders. He wouldn't have the receivers we had last year but he'd be a lot more seasoned and make some much better decisions.
IMO, we could've run him a little more in 2014.

AJ McCarron has been the best QB of the Saban Era so far, but Blake Sims has to be my favorite. He gave his all 100% of the time. What he lacked in skill he made up for in heart.

Yeah I agree. Not even option/read plays necessarily. Blake would have been lethal on simple designed QB draws. His runs vs Texas A&M and Tennessee were a testament to this.
