No defensive coordinator hire impacted a single program like Muschamp did. The former Florida head coach returned to the plains, immediately assembled an outstanding defensive staff and proceeded to blaze a trail in recruiting- landing five-star defensive end Byron Cowart and others. The personnel is upgraded immediately with the presence of Muschamp.
1) Will Muschamp
2) Barry Odom
3) John Chavis
4) Jon Hoke
5) Manny Diaz
6) Geoff Collins
7) Kevin Steele
8) Derek Mason

What's even better: not having a shitty defense that needs a new coach.

What about having a shitty offense that needs a new coach?

Like, say, Arkansas?

What about having a good defense and a bad offense and getting a new DC?

Someone's hair has got to make up for Gus' sideburns.

They saw what having white walls^2 got them.

He's been historically awful vs. the one team that will make or break his job. Auburn defense will be the same as it always has been since 2008-present. Dog shite.

No defensive coordinator on earth could save Auburn defense with an offense like that. Auburn I think is trying too hard to be like 90s Nebraska teams, with an option/wing running game from hell, and an above average defense.

Yep. Great hire. Might only be for 2 years, but the D will be better and the talent will be better as a result of his presence in AU.

Ouch, but yeah.

Me too. Have no idea how he can be ranked behind John Hoke though.

Edit: or Manny fricking Diaz. List is shite.
