Well, at least to the point where I notice it and it wakes me up at night.

Anybody here have any solutions for this? Its already to the point that I am considering surgery or something. I'm tired as can be.

I'm not trying to troll when I say this. But people who suddenly start snoring like that typically need to get in shape or lose some weight. I had the same issue this time last year and after I lost some weight, the snoring issue went away.

At least you don't get sleep paralysis at least once a week like yours truly.

CPAP is your only option.

Not really, but it's an option.

My dad is in good shape and snores like crazy unless he sleeps semi-propped up. He sleeps with like 2 big pillows under his head/back. Something to do with weak esophagus muscles or something.

Try using nasal strips. I started snoring a couple years ago, not to the point where I noticed but my wife did. I started using the strips and it sopped entirely.

Only some of those who snore have legit sleep apnea.

Have you noticed your tonsils are larger than usual? This is also something that can cause snoring/sleep issues.

Is it the snoring waking you up or are you waking up having trouble breathing/someone else says you seem to stop breathing and that wakes you up? Particularly if it's the latter, check with your PCP.

As was mentioned earlier, plenty of people snore but don't have sleep apnea. If you do have sleep apnea though, there's non-surgical options too depending on the cause, etc. And if you do have it, it's good to get it treated both so you feel better and because untreated sleep apnea can cause long term problems.

I was having trouble breathing at night...combo of weight and still having tonsils. Tonsil surgery at my age is a bitch, so I lost weight and use a cpap machine, greatest thing I've done regarding sleep. Go have a sleep study, they can diagnose the issue.

Go to a dentist who specializes in mouthpieces for sleep apnea. Not cheap but worth it. Much easier to tolerate than a CPAP.

Thanks errbody.

If anything I've been working out harder and I'm in better shape than I've been in some time. I have been taking some supplements and probiotics. I think the first sign was that my voice sounded deeper and gravelly during the day with no sore throat. I assumed my supplemets were working and my balls were growing/testosterone increasing.

Not kidding.

I've got some nose strips. I'll check with the PCP this week. I stop breathing and wake up as a result.

If I sleep on my back I get that, like clockwork.
