Season's not over yet, but they've sealed up the MAC championship. Not unexpected, but thought I'd give them their props.

Been trying to read up on the national duals that start this weekend I believe. Y'all please correct me if I'm reading this wrong. This weekend, there are 8 regions playing, Mizzou gets American. The winners of those 8 regions then get seeded into a bracket type tournament. Assuming what I understand to be the higher ranked teams win their regional match, the brackets could look something like this:

1. Iowa
8. Oklahoma

4. Cornell
5. tOSU

3. Minnesota
6. Illinois

2. Mizzou
7. Lehigh

If that's accurate, I have to say, it's a favorable bracket for Mizzou to make some noise. Minnesota is apparently solid, but the other side of the bracket with Iowa, tOSU and Cornell seems to be loaded.

I'm not sure if they will re seed the bracket after the prelims this week...because Ohio State beat Minny over the weekend.

But yeah...that is the basic set up.

Thanks.

Trying to talk my brother into going to some of the sessions here in STL in the tourney. Do you have suggestions? Early sessions because there's more matches? Late sessions for the finals?

The first round isn't terribly exciting usually, but I really prefer the middle rounds, or bubble match rounds. The first round USUALLY goes according to seeds, but after that it becomes chaos.

Like a couple years ago, Iowa had a guy named Matt McDonough who was a 2X Champ and 3X Finalist who failed to even All-American his senior year after being undefeated all season.

Quarters and Semis are a lot of fun. Those would be awesome to go to especially if we get guys in there.

I hear ya. Although making some of those other schools our bitches will be fun. American might make me yawn, but I don't mind laying it on Illinois or tOSU or Minnesota.

I still say one of you should go onto the Rant and claim the SEC East Wrestling championship. Just to troll them some.

Barnes impressive at 149. Wins 11-4. Mizzou up 12-0. Shame Barnes couldn't go down a class or up 2 classes from 141.

I think Lavallee is wrestling hurt. Hardly getting down in that goofy frogger stance.

Lavallee loses 2-3. Mizzou up 12-3.

Lavallee is going to be a liability when it comes to the national tourney I'm afraid.
