All of them had ups and downs. Probably Florida.

Not Ole Miss.

I saw a graph not too long ago that showed SEC wins each season for the last 30 years and almost every school slowly increased in wins then slowly decreased. Their lines on the graph looked like well rounded hills.

Ole Miss on the other hand was bipolar as hell. It looked like a damn mountain range.

You're not kidding.

If Freeze provides, I don't know, seven or eight straight 8+ win seasons, I'll be a happy camper. I'm just happy we're a bit consistent again.

It's like we can't decide if we want to be good or not. The last three years are the most consistent our program has been in a long time.

Seriously though, eight straight seasons of eight plus wins would get Freeze a statue.

Alabama had had 2 solid stretches and then other stretches of a good year then bad years. I definitley wouldn't reger to us as "consistent" outside of 1991-1996 and 2008-present.

You never said consistently good. So the answer is clearly Vandy

If he somehow got us to Atlanta, I'd name my first child Hugh. Male or Female.

Vandy by a mile. Most consistently finishes in the same spot every year. Last place

For most consistently good, Fla. 9 wins seasons and SEC championships. National Champs shouldn't be a factor in consistency bc no program has more than 4 since '83

Fair enough. I'd say Auburn has been the most consistently above-average in terms of year-by-year results.

Something the stats leave out is Auburn's 1993 team. You could add in undefeated seasons and simply SEC Championship appearances, and I think that would put Auburn near if not the undisputed top. Florida would probably beat them though.

But what also influences the analysis is how much you value the highs and lows in terms of maintaining a consistency. Alabama has had higher highs and Auburn has had lower lows.

But for the most part, Auburn is going to have a good stretch of seasons 3 of every five years.

Stats include auburns 93 team... But they didn't win division, sec, or national title. Heck, bama had best record in west in 2002 but didn't go to Atlanta.

Also, left out the fact that bama was playing at a disadvantage from 2003-2006 because of lost schollys
