9 TE
Jamal Couch
Phenix City (Ala.) Central

Recruiting wrap: Couch is committed to Florida State.

Performance: Couch is another player listed in the Rivals.com database as a linebacker but elected to work out on offense instead. As a tight end, Couch was very impressive, winning several reps during one-on-ones while showing and impressive leaping ability and catch radius. With Nauta already in the fold on offense, Couch's future is likely on defense with the 'Noles, but he showed that he has the talent to be special talent on either side of the ball.

12 RB
Tre Nation
Leeds, Ala.

Recruiting Wrap: Nation has several offers, including Louisville and Cincinnati.

Performance: Nation is a bruising runner in game situations, but he showed a nice ability to get open and make plays in the passing game on Saturday. He has a powerful lower body and when making plays out of the backfield, he actually enjoys creating contact near the line of scrimmage before using his quick feet to get his big body moving into space.

ATLANTA -- More than 125 players with offers were in attendance at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour on Saturday, and plenty of other talented sleepers turned in excellent showings as well. The event's top performers have already been named, but that doesn't mean there weren't plenty of young guns who held their own as well. Here's a look at the top underclassmen who grabbed our attention.

quote:

1 QB
Jake Bentley (2017)
Opelika, Ala.

Recruiting wrap: Bentley has a handful of offers, with Auburn being his most notable to date.

Performance: Bentley was in the mix for the quarterback MVP award and wowed the event's coaches with his arm strength and ability to make all the throws. The ball pops off Bentley's hands and you can tell he's the son of a coach as his fundamentals were among the best of any quarterback at the event. In addition to having prototypical size at 6-foot-4, 207 pounds, Bentley is also very adept at throwing on the move and looks like he could play in any type of offense.

2 DE
Malik Herring (2017)
Forsyth (Ga.) Mary Persons

Recruiting wrap: Herring has several offers, including Alabama, Auburn and Clemson.

Performance: Herring was impressive both physically and tactically as he had a tremendous amount of success during one-on-ones. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound lineman showed off an array of moves, mixing in club, swim and rip moves and having success with all of them against older offensive linemen. Herring is listed in the Rivals.com database as a strongside defensive end, but if he continues to bulk up, he might be an ideal candidate to play inside at the next level.

4 LB
Nate McBride (2017)
Madison (Ga.) Morgan County

Recruiting wrap: McBride has offers from some the SEC's heavy hitters, including Alabama, Auburn and Georgia.

Performance: Saturday was McBride's first major camp experience, but you wouldn't have known it from the way he looked during both drills and one-on-ones. McBride is 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, but moves like a running back or wide receiver. He hails from a small town and does it all for his high school team, but his skills as a linebacker are refined and his coverage skills were among some of the best players at the event at his position.

5 DT
MJ Webb (2017)
Madison (Ga.) Morgan County

Recruiting wrap: Webb has several big offers, with Alabama among his early favorites.

Performance: Webb is a big-bodied defensive lineman who has worked at shedding some bad weight since the last time he was in a camp setting. His new level of fitness paid dividends when battling offensive linemen on Sunday, as the 6-foot-5 tackle looked light on his feet while showing good strength at the point of attack. Webb looks like a high-level talent and should continue to add offers this spring.

7 LB
Will Ignont (2017)
New Market (Ala.) Buckhorn

Recruiting wrap: Ignont has several early offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU.

Performance: Checking in at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Ignont was an "on the hoof" superstar and one of the most physically impressive linebackers to come through registration. Once he stepped on the field, he backed up his look with impressive play as well. Despite being a smashmouth inside linebacker who is great at stopping the run on Friday nights, Ignont was impressive in space while covering smaller, quicker prospects. He already has several offers and will likely see his offer list continue to grow in the future.

8 ATH
Alaric Williams (2017)
Gadsden (Ala.) Southside

Recruiting wrap: Williams has an early top three of Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss, all schools that have already offered.

Performance: Williams worked out at running back and excelled during one-on-ones, mostly because of his quick feet. He's very evasive in space and his ability to cut and juke on a dime for a player his size (6-0, 200) is very impressive. There were a few linebackers who tried to out-physical Williams, but that was a mistake as he used his combination of strength and speed to throw them off balance.

11 DE
Robert Beal (2017)
Norcross, Ga.

Recruiting wrap: Beal recently picked up his first four offers courtesy of Alabama, Illinois, Nebraska and Toledo.

Performance: Beal hails from the same high school as Class of 2014 Rivals100 prospect Lorenzo Carter and has drawn comparisons to his former high school teammate. While it's still early for those lofty expectations, it's clear that Beal has the potential to develop into a high-level prospect. He's long and thin at 6-4, 201 pounds and isn't likely finished growing. By the time he adds some weight to his frame and grows into his body, he will be a force.

SUWANEE, Ga. -- The Atlanta stop of the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour was loaded with top talent including a handful of five-star prospects. The defensive side of the ball was particularly deep, however, as linebackers and defensive backs dominated the event. Below are the top defensive performances from Saturday's camp.

quote:

1 LB
Lyndell Wilson
Montgomery (Ala.) Carver

Recruiting wrap: Alabama, Auburn and Georgia seem to be the frontrunners in Wilson's recruitment, but beating the Crimson Tide will be a tall order.

Performance: Wilson jumped a short route and grabbed an interception in his first one-on-one rep and maintained that momentum for the entirety of the session. Wilson certainly looks the part of an FBS-bound linebacker and has a college-ready body. He's as agile as linebackers his size come and took home the day's MVP trophy for good reason.

2 DB
William Poole III (2017)
Atlanta (Ga.) Hapeville Charter

Recruiting wrap: Pool has seen his recruitment explode in recent weeks and now has six offers, including four from SEC schools. He enjoyed a recent visit to Alabama, and the Tide seems to have an early advantage in Pool's recruitment.

Performance: Pool, a 2017 prospect, was fantastic in drills and in coverage on Saturday. He smothered some highly regarded 2016 players and was as smooth coming out of his backpedal as any defensive back at the camp. He showed an ability to run with receivers down field as well as jump shorter routes that required him to quickly change directions.

3 LB
Ben Davis
Gordo (Ala.) Gordo

Recruiting wrap: Davis released a top seven a few weeks back that included Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU and USC. Alabama and Auburn seem to be the favorites to land his commitment, but Florida and LSU, among others, are alive as well.

Performance: Davis nearly won the day's linebacker MVP by using his unique blend of size and speed to cover smaller targets downfield. Davis' length certainly helps his cause, but the way he is able to effortlessly turn and run out of his backpedal is what makes him special in coverage. Davis has a fantastic build and seems to be as versatile a linebacker as there is in the country.

4 DL
Marlon Davidson
Greenville, Ala.

Recruiting wrap: Davidson says all of the schools involved in his recruitment are on level footing, but he has ties to Auburn and the Tigers have to like their position. He is nowhere near making a verbal commitment.

Performance: Davidson is able to retain amazing athleticism despite his 6-foot-4 frame. He also has a versatile skill set that allows him to use a host of different moves to blow by offensive linemen. He is most reliant on rip moves, but also won a rep with a smooth spin. That fact that Davidson rarely relies on raw power, which he could, is a great sign for his college future.

5 DB
Nigel Warrior
Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake

Recruiting wrap: Warrior showed up at the camp wearing Alabama gloves, but has to be considered a bit of a Tennessee lean because of family ties to the college.

Performance: Warrior was in contention for the defensive back MVP all afternoon, which shocked exactly nobody. A Rivals100 prospect, Warrior boasts a solid, 6-foot frame and impressive instincts. He could stand to add some muscle and become more physical, but his coverage skills looked polished during Saturday's event.

8 DL
Derrick Brown
Sugar Hill (Ga.) Lanier

Recruiting wrap: Georgia, Alabama and Clemson seem to be the three schools at the top of Brown's recruitment. His landing place will likely be one of the three.

Performance: Brown sometimes relies too much on strength, but that's to be expected when you are as powerful as he is. The five-star prospect was one of the more impressive linemen at Saturday's event. And while he needs to add a little versatility to his game before college, you have to look pretty hard to find that knock. Fact is, blocking Brown is a task to which few high school players are up to, and he steamrolled a number of strong offensive guards on Saturday.

William Poole III wasn't some secret headed into Saturday's camp. The 2017 prospect holds offers from a list of major programs, including Alabama, Georgia and Miami. The fact that he walked away with the defensive back MVP is only going to add to his momentum.
Pool has a solid build and is incredible in coverage. He changes directions on a dime and breaks on the ball incredibly well for a prospect of his age. He covered a number of high-level 2016 wide receivers and closed incredibly well when ball hung in the air for so much as a moment too long. Pool stood toe-to-toe with older prospects this weekend and solidified his standing as one of the top junior defensive backs in America.

Five-star linebacker Lyndell Wilson was part of the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour a year ago, and earned a return trip on Saturday. The No. 16 player in the country, Wilson will be joined in Baltimore by fellow linebacker Ben Davis, who also earned an invite on Saturday.
Davis and Wilson went head-to-head for linebacker MVP honors and were deadlocked until the end of the event, when Wilson edged Davis by the smallest of margins.

The two-five prospects will are among the nation's best linebackers and proved that by standing far and above what was a loaded position group at the RCS stop in Atlanta.

Years after Dylan Moses emerged as an eighth-grade sensation, he's a five-star junior and as developed as anyone hoped he would be years ago. An LSU commit, Moses took home the running back MVP award on Saturday and looked as dominant as ever in the process.

Sometimes phenoms fizzle out as they approach college, but Moses has gone in the opposite direction. He looks like a college-ready prospect as things stand now and can play a number of positions at the next level. So while he may play linebacker at LSU, he continues to impress as a running back on the camp circuit.
