The progress is in the Arky game and KY they played somewhat tough. They surprisingly have played one of the 5 toughest schedules in the country and SEC might be somewhat decent this year. I'm about to watch the recording of the game though, self imposed torture I suppose.

This team is young. Yeh I know, that's one overused expression. But in this case I think it's true. This team came off of a game against the number one team in the country where they really didn't match up well with any of UK's players. We all knew that going into that game. But, This team battled their asses off and hung as long as they could. To put it simply, they are feeling the lag. It's not always about the physical but also the mental aspect. I think they are worn down in that respect too. They had one off day before having to run into a high energy talented team like Ole Miss. Ole Miss has some horses. That game on a good day was going to be a challenge for Mizzou.
Jafo, I get it. I really do. But this team is so far below the talent that's on the team. This team is so far below the "they're young" excuse or "they're worn down" excuse. A .500 season I get. Struggling to beat shite SEC basketball teams by one in the final minutes I get. Losing to quality teams, I get. This is so far beyond any of that.

As a coach, you can only do so much. It still boils down to execution. Same way when Pinkel gets shut out by Georgia this year. It's execution by the players. In KA's position, he has a bunch of young kids. They don't always listen.
It's the coaching too. It's not all on the kids. I see more emotion and effort coming from the kids than I do the coach frankly. Do they screw up from time to time? Sure. But I am hoping that KA is learning on the fly as well because I what I have witnessed hasn't been solid coaching with only crappy execution.

So. It sucks. What is it, 7 in a row now? Maybe this team just doesn't have the connection to each other. Maybe some transferring out may be a blessing in disguise. Rotate players in until you get the right combo. May be forced to go grab a few transfers himself. I wouldn't look at the likes of Isabell transferring as a bad thing. He flat out just hasn't preformed lately.
I wasn't buying into it before, but I am now. I would not be shocked if half this team is gone next year. If I were a player like Teki or Wright, I'd 1. Not enjoy losing too much. and 2. Feel like my talents are being brought down...not refined.

I'll hold to my guns and just wait it out. What else can you do?
No question. He'll get years still. And I truly hope this was just a sacrificial season with all the kids being booted and all the kids being sat down or not even dressed out. I hope it all pays off with a winning season next year. Just give me 1 game over .500. Just not seeing it though. Oh, and half this team leaves...expect more next year of what we had this year...or worse. We will by default have to hear the "they're young" excuse because it means we'll have to sign 3 or 4 more MVC type of players.

Hey, Arky lost today.
Yes, the SEC sucks. Unfortunately, we are on the shite end of that suck.

Well, it wouldn't be the worst team ever
Actually it very well could be in total losses. Granted we play more games now then in the '60's but we also play more cupcakes now. I believe the record for defeats is 22 in 1967. We have ten regualr games and a SEC game. I am not sure we are going to be favored in any more game this year. Maybe Mississippi State at home? If we lose out we will shatter the old mark. yesterday we were about as bad as I have seen us.
