Despite perception, SEC West has become a 2 horse race...

Alabama or auburn have won the West 6 of the last 7 years. Despite the perception of the depth of the division and the thought that it can be won by almost anyone, the truth is that it has been a two horse race for most of the past decade. Erase the fluke 9-6 win that was later proven to be a fluke on the field and then it looks even worse. Bottom line is the state of Alabama runs the West, and the rest of you have very little chance to win the vision. DWI

7 straight years as far as I'm concerned.
9-6 was an obvious anomaly, and we won the SEC Championship in addition to the National Championship on 1/9.

Auburn didn't have much of a chance when they went 0-8 in conference in 2012. Auburn had the same (8-5, 4-4) record as LSU this year. I'd still say it's a one horse race.
Auburn reaching the BCS Championship in 2013 was way more of a fluke than 9-6. Crazy shite that year.

No only Bama beats Bama, remember? I just find it funny that they don't consider us a rival, but two of the Bama posters in the thread are referencing LSU--not Auburn or Tennessee--in their pics.

The truth of the matter is the winds of change are blowing. You saw the Mississippi schools enter the picture, the Hogs played better ball than anyone down the stretch and are on the rise. LSU sucked, A&M is a house of cards. Ohio State exposed you guys and Aubbie caught lightning in a bottle one year. Times, they are a changin'.

Good point. Everyone knows a field goal attempt from anywhere on the field is automatic.
