College basketball is no fun until it gets to the tournament and neutral courts. Home court advantage in college basketball ruins the game for me.

Yeah I'm with you though. It doesn't feel the same anymore. Arkansas has actually been ranked this year for the first time and forever and it still doesn't feel as exciting. The emotion and flow seem to have wavered. Now I just got stressed out and frustrated the whole game, even when they are winning.

Kentucky's offensive problems isn't from a lack of flow in a game.

The majority of their offense comes or relies on second chance baskets.

Their coach is so incapable of managing a roster that goes further than 3 deep on the bench he subs out 5 at a time.

Kentucky can't get a "flow" to their game because their coach doesn't know how to allow them to flow.

Yes, women's basketball, which is like watching undersized men play underneath water.

This. Exactly. It's really the whole reason I became a Mizzou fan.

Used to love it. Id honestly rather watch football practices at this point.

Dude this has nothing to do with Kentucky or any other school. The product is trash, especially compared to today's NBA product.

The product of the NBA has been trash since the mid 90s.

Get rid of the 35 seconds shot clock and add defensive 3 seconds is a start.

Fixing the over physicality of the game is tough though.

I agree. The flow of the game just isn't the same. You start to get into what is happening and then... bam... another minor foul. Then another one. Or what was called a travel on one end isn't called on the other. It isn't so much about how the teams play, but how the game is played. It just isn't as fun.

They tried to institute all these "freedom of movement" rules to improve the flow and it's had the exact opposite effect.

An offensive player can catch the ball on the post, bull rush a defender with his hands straight up and it's a foul on the defender.

I don't think I've watched more than 30 seconds of any NBA game. The one time I watched more was because the batteries on the damn remote died.

Seriously though, just can't watch the NBA. But then I prefer college football over the NFL too.

The NBA is light years ahead of CBB, and it's not just the talent level.

Like RTR said, cut down the shot clock and throw in defensive 3 seconds.

Do anything you can to improve the quality of officiating. If that means hiring more officials to cover games instead of stretching guys thin (fatigue was named as an issue for that UConn vs. Syracuse debacle a couple years ago) then so be it. If it means forcing out some "lifers" that have been fricking awful then so be it (see "Blind" Karl Hess).

Those would all be a decent start.
