Which is irrelevant, becuase we've sucked or been at best mediocre the last 6 years. When we last went to the tournament, we beat you. Congrats on meaningless wins.

Is this real life? That may be the most pathetic thing I've ever read.

What a shame the rest of the world won't be privy to that fine piece of literature.

Tennessee is a terrible bball program.

There's only one true basketball program in the SEC. UK. The rest are the products of one good coach and then the other years are just hit and miss.

Arky - Eddie Sutton(I kid. While he was good, Nolan is the man)
UT - Bruce Pearl
LSU - Dale Brown
Bama - Wimp Sanderson
MU - Norm Stewart
UF - Billy Donovan
A&M - Mark Turgeon

Those are just off the top of my head. There might be some exceptions to the rule, but as I see it, there's 1. UK, followed by 2. a group that had a good run under a solid coach but hit and miss under other coaches and then 3. those that haven't had that solid type of coach.

The rest of it is just nit picking and twisting numbers to suit your own cause. The question for me is will or can these other schools either find another HOF type of coach or can others find their first.

Arkansas has 24 conference Titles. We were going to Final Fours and such back in our SWC days too.

congrats on the 22 SWC titles and stuff. 6 Final Fours and 1 National Title & 1 Runner-up to be commended

it must be chilling to see that South Carolina has actually won the SEC Basketball Championship more recently than Arkansas. I was surprised.

South Carolina's last division title was shared with Tennessee in 2009. Arkansas's last division title was 1995, shared with Mississippi State. (division play was eliminated after 2011 season)

I'm not sure that Final Fours are the end all be all that you make them out to be, particularly when both schools have low numbers. The dance is such a crap shoot, and neither team has a massive sample size.

As to this UT vs LSU thing: I think it's likely that this is just a product of my Kentucky raisin, but I never think about LSU basketball (even when they had big baby), while UT basketball seems much more consistently good. Even before Pearl. God, was it Yancey that UT had? Drove me nuts. Plus those Ky kids--Houston, Lofton, and Hopson.

Last, I'm happy that LSU will have good freshmen next year. But let's not act like that one good class is going to launch LSU going forward. It's equally likely that those players come in, do well, and move on, leaving LSU without another star-studded class to replace them.

I'll add that I hope I'm wrong and both LSU and UT are awesome going forward. We need a more interesting conference slate.
