Soft as charmin toilet paper. I swear I have never seen a pair of big men in basketball as scared and soft as these two. Absolutely horrible. Can't box out, can't rebound, can't get open on the low block, get freaking posterized, can't do anything useful at all. Garbage...

Where is Erwin Dudley when you need him?!

Shannon Hale is the most useless player I can remember ever getting significant playing time at Alabama. And that's a list that includes Ben Eblen, Evan Brock, and Carl Engstrom.

Lol hale isn't as bad as any of them. But he sure does make you wish we had a guy like Chris Hines

Yep. The sad thing is that Hale was a better player last year as a frosh than he is this year

Yeah he looked way better last year. This year he is one of the few players who isn't scared shitless to try to score the ball, but he's got his head so far up his arse he turns the ball over every other time it's passed to him

Erwin Dudley, Chuck Davis, Kenny Walker, Richard Hendrix, Jermareo Davidson, Jamychael Green

I long for the days of a presence down low. Usually you recruit big men that can either score or rebound. If they're a dynamite shot blocker you give them a scholarship. If they can do all 3 then you're going to the tournament. Grant can't keep a guy on the team that can do any of it.

The lack of rebounding is the most troubling. Rebounding comes down to technique and will. We don't box out. It's very rare you see a Bama player go up with two hands. Since we don't box out, every rebound is a jump ball, so our strategy is to go up with one hand and try to tip it out. It's just painful to watch.

I don't blame any of the players anymore.
They just don't know and have been provided no guidance from either the coach or AD.

sometimes....but at this rate we need to someone who is going to score us some points near the hoop and get all the pressure off the guards. Taylor has no offensive game besides dunking when he is wide open.

With Hale I wonder if he's smart enough to know what to do. Against Arkansas the pass he made to kessens would have cost us the game if they hadn't fouled him. How do you in that situation pass the ball down low when you have no time on the clock and need a three? It always reminds me of some of the essays these guys have written that I've read. The essay they had to write was an elementary topic, nothing profound or philosophical, it was what personal traits make you an ideal job candidate. The stuff they wrote wouldn't pass at the 4th grade level. One of our previous popular basketball players and a really good guy, wrote " I feel I get a job because of my strong work ethnics I learned from basketball."

Now I didn't say I was a huge fan or anything. I just think Taylor is much more valuable than the other two, but I don't mean a whole lot by that. I agree he doesn't have much of a game outside of a dunk but he does work harder than the other guys.

I don't like our staff...everyone needs to be fired, not only Grant. But we need to recruit a couple guys that can bang on the block and rebound the basketball.

Heck, I would trade any of our big guys for a Reggie Rambo right about now.

Hale is a talented kid that can be saved by a new coach. I am not sure what Grant saw in Kessens.
Not to be critical of a kid but he cant pass the ball, he cant take the ball strong inside, he cant rebound nor can he defend.
