I'd be fine if he gives us a couple good years like Da'rick.

no doubt, don't blame them for sending him packing early, but still not that big a deal. I think kids should stop the visits after making a verbal commit but since it's such a dog and pony show it's easy to understand why they don't.

He definitely is talented enough to do so.

I mean, the main reason PW got sent home was what AU fans "claim." The fact that he was clearly pro Tenn and pumping up the Vols just made the decision to send him home extremely easy.

Had we felt he was a serious flip target with his talent would we send him home? That is the real question.

Most coaches will apply a hard sell just to get a kid to OV regardless of how committed he is to the other school. They'll tell them to visit anyway because getting them on campus is key to getting most recruits to commit and committed ones to flip. Coaches aren't naive to the fact that hard commits are often playing the game too but when you're recruiting or selling, you don't stop.

You do this with a hard commit like PW not because you necessarily believe he will flip but because if something should happen later down the line to cause him to decommit, he remembers you and your school.

IOW, if they can't be first, coaches still want to be that backup option should something happen because being the backup option can pay off.

TN Rivals is reporting that he didn't show up "decked out" like others are claiming.

Just wearing his TN bracelet he always wears and was actively talking up TN and was obvious he was only there to have a good time and had no interest in hearing Auburn's "pitch".

That is when both parties decided it was best for him to go home.

TN rivals didnt mention part of his good time, as smoking weed? Thats not a shock.
And if it was only a tennessee wrist band... Then why did why did auburn reports say he was decked out in ten gear? Possibly because auburn doesn't want to look like they are throwing the kid under the bus... Looks bad on the team for calling kid out for his hotel room antics.
And obviously the tennessee side wouldn't release info on alleged smoking.

Something doesn't sit right here, one side or the other isn't telling the whole truth.

right, I'm just pointing out that if kids who committed stopped taking OV's then a lot of this silliness would end, you could move up signing day but that would just move up the visit/recruitment cycle so it probably wouldn't change much.

Auburn reports NEVER said he was wearing UT gear...Please provide a link.... this was started by UT to cover for his drug use...

It's all a cover up that he committed to auburn, coaches said we don't need ya here anymore and now we're trolling Tennessee. Gus is basically giving the finger the THig right now with this one. Master level troll.

I could give a shite what some 17 year old kid chooses to do. Just shows he fits with the second coming of chizik at Tennessee. Yall have the exact same atmosphere chiz had and is why butch can get all the recruits he wants but will never do anything with it

bullshite. Chizik could sell a recent national title. Tenn is in one of the worst stretches in our history.

No. If that was the case he would have left Friday night/Sat Morning.

Your timeline doesn't line up.
