Pruitt did more with less. I think he's better than Kirby Smart.

Georgia held Auburn to 7 points a week before Alabama gave up 44. Alabama then gave up 42 points to Ohio State.

Alabama has a lot more defensive talent than Georgia did.

Toward the end of the season, Georgia's defense was playing better.

I can't wait to see what happens when Pruitt gets the guys he wants on board.

It was one game. You could use the Arkansas games for UGA and Alabama and "prove" the opposite point.

Transitive property is a stupid way to justify football teams.

No, we gave up 32 to ARK, then 31 to Kentucky, then had a good performance against an Auburn already checked out for the year, Charleston Southern doesn't count, and then gave up 30 to GA Tech at home. I don't see anything to be proud of there.

Great analysis. I hope someone at the SECN sees this post. We need someone like you breaking it down like this during the season. Thanks for sharing this with everyone.

For real. Let's stick to threads like SummerOfGeorge giving us SEC coaches as Seinfeld characters.

I don't like to use rivalry games as benchmarks because passion sometimes trumps skill in these events.

*Plus I don't think Coach Pruitt would say he's better than Coach Smart either if you asked him at face value. Besides we get Alabama at home this season and we don't need to give those gumps any more ammo coming in.

I'm curious why you guys are seemingly ready to hand the keys to the program over to him. Seems like he still has a lot to prove.

He had 1 good year at FSU and improved you guys but that amount of faith placed in him still seems unjustified.

This is possible. Smart is nothing more than saban's lap dog and the fact he is scared to leave proves he knows it.

However, your reasoning is terrible.

Because we have seen what happens when you give CMR total control.

Georgia's going to smear Alabama next year.

Nothing I say is going to give them ammunition.

I'm not a player or coach...just a fan.

What team doesn't have fans that will say the glass his half full?
