It's amazing how much better UPD is than them. All of my dealings with UPD have been nothing but good things. They are actually there to protect and serve the students. I knew a guy who was walking home from the square to his dorm once and UPD officers stopped and offered him a ride back to Kincannon. They didn't harass him and they didn't look for reasons to arrest him.

I have the same feelings about the UPD. They have offered some of my friends rides back to the dorms when we all lived on campus. OPD on the other hand

I guess I just got lucky with my experiences regarding OPD. First semester freshman year after a pregame a girl dropped me off like a block from the square. I had to pee so I went on the back of a building (it was dusk) and a cop caught me. Turns out it was his church I was peeing on. He asked to see my license and I drunkingly handed him my student ID. He corrected me and grabbed my license... Handed it back and said if I see you here again I'm arresting you and let me walk to the square

If, If all this is true about the OPD then they should back off a little. My initial reaction is usually to side with the police, but if they are overdoing it, a little control would be nice. At least where the football team is concerned. I don't really care about anybody else.

OPD is terrible. They arrested myself and my roommate for DC back when I was a junior. We had 10 in my house, including me and my roommate, 4 playing fooseball the others drinking and watching tv. OPD busts in and starts slinging shite, arrest me and my roommate. Come to find out one of the arresting officers' GF lived a couple of houses behind us, I assume she saw us in the back, as we had a keg behind the house.

I normally side with the police at first when controversial stuff happens but when it comes to OPD, they have a history of this stuff. I'll never take them arresting players or students with a "disorderly conduct" or "resisting arrest" charge seriously. It's literally all they ever arrest them for.

What is there to be "all over"? This is the most childish shite you can do in oxford. This is a very small "story" that those redneck retards will try to run with. Who cares?

Agreed. I'll come out and say I was wrong about OPD in this case Dude deserved to be arrested. I just like how the dude acted like a dumbshit while drunk and its a representation of the program. Its funny to look at.

I remember growing up in Oxford this would happen every year. Typically some football player would get into it with a local.

Seems like every weekend Greg Hardy would be fighting in what used to be known as Night Town

Ha night town, then billiards. Heard it's been closed for a few years now.

When I heard the whole gf/couch full of guns situation... I though yup sounds about right.
