Can't fault the kid for staying home. Our loss but good luck to him at LSU.

It certainly helped us that the 2 deep on one cornerback spot just evaporated.

Donte is a top 5 player in this class and by far the best CB.

you think he's better than KTII? Guess we'll find out...

He will be playing OG in the Sun Bowl for the next few years. Who cares?

2 players I really wished LSU had gotten last year were Adoree Jackson and Lorenzo Carter. Both truned out to be major studs. I'm optimistic that LSU ends up with an Adoree-type talent. Now, we need to land a Carter-type, and I will feel really good about this class.

If there was any other sec school I would have liked him to pick, it would have been UGA.

Good run Dawgs. Tough to pull in-state players.

Best of luck.

Don't mind seeing UGA get heavy consideration from LA kids considering how good GA has been to LSU

IMO LSU gets Arden Key, he could be a Carter type guy after a RS year

Personally, I wanted him more than any other player in this class. Not just for his play making ability but he also seems like a great kid. I feel like he is the best athlete in the nation and will easily end up playing on Sundays if he stays healthy.

I'm happy we got him! But UGA fans showed some real class here...always my second favorite SEC school behind LSU of course may we both meet in ATL this year!

Judging from his 247 article it was very difficult turning UGA down

Wouldn't surprise me but no one knows what he is going to do. My gut feeling would be him recommitting to USC but that kid loves attention. He will probably do a signing day flip just to make sure he stays in the news.

Can't beat playing at home in front of the fans that love you the most and having family able to come see you play. He made the right choice even if it was a tough choice.

That would be really nice. I think we are in pretty good shape for him, but he has been a head scratcher throughout the recruiting process.

Just found my response to Carter's announcement last year. Good ole chump, Ystar was wrong. Imagine that.

Congrats. I really would have liked for LSU to sign this kid, mostly because YSTAR says he sucks.

I could see Brosette ending up in Austin, but I think a lot of that will depend on what happens with Jamobo. Congrats on Donte. I would have loved to get him and I think he could have been a special player here in Athens, but I can't blame him for staying home and wanting to play for a great school with a very passionate fan base.
