I remember that Baylor series. I had missed the first game and didn't know why folks had brought Twinkies into the stands.
I miss Olsen Magic. Still have yet to make a game in the Blue Bell era.

I start paying close attention to baseball when conference play starts. Mostly because conference basketball schedule is going on during OOC baseball and I pay close attention to basketball conference play. I like how the conference schedules of the two sports are basically one right after the other. It's been a while since I've been to an Aggie baseball game anywhere, over 8 years at least since I've been living up here.

I'm a fan of all A&M athletics. And I know A&M baseball has been decent, but not nearly as successful as they should be. Mark Johnson was a very successful coach and he had a calm demeanor. Childress appears to be a hothead. So I am not too keen on Childress. If he had more success then I would cut him some slack. With all the HS baseball talent in Houston 90 miles away.... A&M should be closer to hosting Super Regionals on an annual basis. Right now Rice is getting that job done...

I'm in the same boat as you, Spirit of Aggieland...every year thinking we have a shot to make a deep run. Seems our MO is flirting with missing the tourney; barely making it. Then doing OK before flaming out. If just making the postseason is all you want, we seem to get that done year after year. If you're looking for Omaha, it's been frustrating, even with making it a few years back.

The Format has changed but Childress has had as much success MJ. Only the past 2 years have been meh.
