Will Cox be as good as Prosch?

I'm hearing that Cox is looking to be a Porsche type blocker which would be a vital key to our running game if it pans out.
My question to you guys, do you see him being as dominant a blocker as Prosch or someone we use as a more flexible player catching more passes out of the back field and such?

A better blocker than Eric Smith, and better in the passing game than Prosch. It's hard to be as dominant as Prosch was at blocking, hopefully he gets close.

Hope they will run the wheel route to Cox
Like he said it'll be hard to touch Prosch in blocking!

Consider Chandler Cox is coming into the program as a true freshman. Prosch was grown arse man in his Jr year when we got him. I think Chandler Cox can grow into that role, but its not going to be next week.

I think he has that potential. He's not afraid of contact at all from what I've seen.

He was that way at Illinois too.

Perfect assessment of what we need at the position, whether he lives up to it or not we'll see

I thought Prosch was ok in the passing game, we just never threw it to him. I personally thought he should have carried the ball a few more times as well. Dude is a B E A S T.

He'll have to beat out Kam Pettway first and that is not a given.

I was thinking more Fred Beasley. Perhaps Kevin McLeod.

How big is Pettway?

I would love to see a HBack shovel pass off. We run behind our Hback so much that we have success when we don't follow him as defenses key on the RB. Would be nice to shovel pass inside to the hback while RB/QB look to run option to the non playside
It likely wouldn't be a huge play but would keep the defense on their toes, has limited risk as it would be an incomplete pass at the LOS.
