Can one of you give me a breakdown of how he was able to make it back from JUCO in one year. We have a recruit trying to do the same thing, but I don't fully understand how it's done.

Not positive about this, but I think he accepted the fact he was going juco, and instead of trying to get into SC all the way til the end, he started JUCO early.
ETA:got GED and headed to JUCO, has 4 to play 3.

He basically early enrolled in Juco for the Spring semester of 2014. The SEC and NCAA requires 3 semesters of Juco for non-qualifiers before enrolling in one of their schools. So Spring of 2015 will be his final semester at Juco before enrolling.
The only time the NCAA will allow a Juco player to transfer with less than 3 semesters is if they had attended at 4 year university before going to Juco. The SEC on the other hand still enforces the 3 semester rule for some reason.

He's gotta graduate JuCo... however quickly they can do it... summer semester, fall semester, Spring semester, then mayne another summer semester... it can be done in one "year".
