Your 2 best hitters right now are Harris and Bond. He moved Harris up but he's dropped Bond down to the 7 hole. Makes no sense to me. In the meantime, the 3 guys between Harris and Bond are hitless. Oh, and he's playing Mr. .100 again, not that it matters.

Yeah. I saw the lineup yesterday and I was like why is your best hitter hitting 7th? He runs the team like a union.

A&M is legit. I've seen them a couple of times on SECN. I quit watching after the second bomb.

It's probably gonna be hard to watch this team going forward, but I'm gonna make a concerted effort to do it.

If you're looking for a team that is going to win the east you are going to be sorely disappointed. If you're looking for some good pitching and guys that scrap and beat some teams they were never projected to beat, it will be entertaining. They are not the Cardinals of college baseball.

I get that, I just want another college sport to get into. I feel like it might be the next major college sport on the horizon. Especially now that MLB is really valuing college players for the draft.

1/3 is a solid weekend series with all things considered.

So whats the game analysis reedus? What the heck happened. I was unable to catch the game today. Just from the posts, looks like total lack of focus.

Really not much to say about today's game beyond the better team won. They got to Fairbanks. Think they scored at least 1 run in nearly every inning. But the game was never out of control. We had plenty of opportunities but instead of getting that timely hit, we hit into double plays. Gonna happen from time to time. The score only ballooned late. Really meaningless runs for both teams late. Tip the cap and move on as far as I'm concerned.

In conference games:

.206 Peel 2B
.289 Ring CF
.250 Howard SS
.281 Lester 3B
.438 Bond C
.378 Harris LF
.500 Klages DH
.227 Pearson RF
.176 Lavy 1B

.130 Munson
.100 Akmon
.000 Bone
.000 Ivory

I also put it in the order I would give a go with if it were me. Klages is a sophomore who many thought would take over the catching duties until Bond came along. He's only 1 for 2 in conference games but he's also hitting .286 overall.

Putting Lavy, Munson, Ivory or Pearson up in the lineup is an inning killer. Your 2 best hitters are Harris and Bond and I'd be tempted to move them up even more than they are now.

No longer bottom of the barrel in hitting. OM and UT below us overall. In conference, we're actually #7 at .262. UF is #3 at .293 in conference games.

In conference games, Mizzou is #4 in team ERA at 3.67. UF is #5 at 4.05.

UF's conference series:

2-1 over UT
1-2 to OM
2-1 over Bama

5-4 in conference overall.

They do have a noncon win over top 10 FSU.

Illinois is ranked around #15. Lost games to Ball State, Kent State and tied Florida Gulf Coast. They did take 2/3 from Okie Lite. Took 2/3 from USF and from MSU. Haven't really played any competition. I'm hoping that the rigors of the SEC will prepare our guys for this game and we don't let up for a mid-week game. Would be another real quality win for the guys if they can take it.

ETA - For whatever it's worth, it will be Illinois' 4th day of games in a row. They played a late weekend series, ending today and our game is tomorrow. Traveling to East Lansing and then Sauget.

Don't know that you see a team with as many seniors on it and playing. Illinois has a ton. I suppose senior leadership is the positive spin. The reality is, if they were really that good, they leave after their junior year because getting drafted as a senior, you almost are forced to accept a slot amount of $10,000 no matter where you are drafted because you have no bargaining chips.

Looks like their mid-week starter is a RS SR LHP. Has an impressive 1.10 ERA but has only started against Kent St(gave up 3 in a loss), Chicago State, Lindenwood and Kent State again.

Illinois is ranked as high as 15 and as low as 25.

0-0 going to bottom of 2nd.

Miles on the mound. Still not sure why we're grooming a senior.

Munson in the lineup. Still not sure why he plays.

Down 2-0 going to the bottom of 5.

Bond breaks up the no-no with a single to lead off our half. Still hitting too low at the 6th spot.

Bond steals 2nd, goes to 3rd on error, Lavy with out 2nd hit brings him in. Akmon with a hit makes it 1st and 3rd 0 out.

1-2 Illinois.
