I played for Hugh Freeze in high school, and have enjoyed following him as his career has progressed. When I lived in Mississippi, I told all the Ole Miss fans that Freeze would be one of the more successful coaches in OM history. At best, they were cautious regarding my assessment.
Now that he has had great success, I can't help but loathe OM fans. Like most everything else, it's their belief that they're Gods gift to football and many other things. I don't wish ill on my old ball coach, but my dislike of their fan base has me hoping for football collapse.... behind Alabama and Auburn of course.

They've got some pretty good posters but they've got a few with a serious inferiority complex in regards to Tennessee football.

It's the mentality of Ole Miss fans that drive me insane. They think they are so much more wealthy than other schools when in reality they have no more money than Alabama. Hell I saw a chandler in the grove at the OM-Vols game this past year, way over the top. The grove is fun for one game day but way to packed. Overrated.

I've never given OM a second thought IRL. But, I live in Knoxville. Population .001% OM Fans, so I rarely interact with them besides a girl in the office.

Must be nice. Those of us who live in Tennessee have to combat the shite talking of Ole Miss, Miss. State, Arkansas, LSU, and Memphis fans. You also get your fair share of Bammers, but band wagon fans are everywhere. The overwhelming Ole Miss fan presence and snotty arrogance gets old, quick...

It's more UGA, UK, Bama and UF in East TN. UT out numbers all of them by a huge margin though. That includes Bama Football and UK basketball who have the most fans as far as out of state teams go. Georgia and UF behind them. Then maybe WVU, Clemson, AU, and VT.

They hate me and I love it. Apparently I upset them on the recruiting board a few months ago by calling them the perennial losers they have been since the civil rights movement. A few of them have spent so much engery and effort over what I said and it is fricking sad and hilarious to watch. Never knew one thread could rustle the jimmies of a group of internet badasses. I'd be pissed off too if we considered going 9-3 and getting curb stomped in the Peach Bowl a dream season.

Their program is trash, ours is great. We snatched their golden boy right out of their hands in 1994. So when they have a decent season and a rare W over UT, you can expect them to act like they've never been there before, because they haven't. And history tells us that they never will.
