Too bad we lost that bitch.

Oregon/Bama would probably top that.

I think this playoff will really take off and those numbers will go higher for any teams in future years.

Ehh I think it depends...this is the inaugural playoffs so essentially the views were guaranteed to be high...but when you have two huge fanbases like OSU and Bama, prestige etc and the SEC area who loves them some football it adds even more...5 years from now say if OSU/TCU had played I don't think those numbers touch that range.

I could see it as watching the first 2 or 3 episodes of American idol (auditions and the first storylines) and then quit watching as the season progresses because of the newness wearing off and becoming repetitive...just imo.

Next year, the games will be on New Year's Eve. I bet they don't come close to this year's numbers.

That's dumb..unless they have both games end before 8PM.

I anticipate a lot of people New Year's ruined because of a loss.

You can thank the Rose Bowl. They won't move from their spot. Also due to ESPN thinking more people will watch on a Thursday (NYE) than on a Friday (NYD). There will still be bowl games on New Year's Day, just not the semifinals.

if bama had won, the ratings for the title game would never be touched by future games ... people wanted to see a bama/oregon game for the past 4 years ...

BUT WE FREAKING LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
