The past couple of years his defenses have choked at the end of big games, third and Chavis always came at the worst possible times(should've believed Tenn. fans), and couldn't produce sacks or turnovers. Will the next hire pick up the slack? Don't know, but the bend don't break philosophy was getting old.

I agree. Sometimes the program just becomes a little stagnant and needs a shake up. As long as Les hires the right guy then this could turn out good for you guys. New coach has a roster full of studs to work with.

In all seriousness y'all willl be fine, to much talent there for you not to be, I hope y'all make a good hire just as much as I hope JC can do something about our abysmal defense.

Depends on the hire Miles makes... if I'm an LSU fan, I don't trust LM to make an equal or better hire, but I could be wrong... Cameron was a nice OC hire... Pelini and Chavis were very good DC hires

We'll see.

Les is no dummy. He knows the importance of the hire.

Les has to make a good hire... how else can he play smallball with the AJ10s and JJ9s of the world?

To OP, we were getting too predictable on defense especially at the end of close games, and needed the change

If they aren't getting Muschamp, Foster, or Smart then no they are likely getting worse.

Hail to the Chief we have chosen for the Aggies,
Hail to the Chief! We salute him, one and all.
Hail to the Chief, as we pledge to yell our assess off
In proud fulfillment of a great, noble call.

Yours is the aim to make this shitty defense better,
This you will do, that's our strong, firm belief.
Hail to the one we selected as coordinator,
Hail to the DC! Hail to the Chief!

Chief's D, even though the rankings were still good, was kind of stagnant the last couple of years. Very predictable, no pressure, turnover ratio was down, & couldn't finish a close game. I believe Miles will make a great hire, even a mediocre hire has the chance to look great considering the talent that is on this team. I think the shake up may add some much needed life to this team.
As far as Chief going to aTm, I think he's the one that's going to really have to work hard to improve the aTm D. He's walking into a very raw situation as far as talent goes plus, he's going to have to create a D that works with Sunlin's fast paced offense. He'll do well there but it'll take a couple of years.

Yep. And you still have sumlin. Les 3- 0 against the wonderful sumlin.

Depends on the hire...

I will NOT miss 3rd & Chavis and prevent defense. Great DC but very predictable when the game is on the line and can't put teams away.
