With the way the bowl games have played out, why all the confidence?

Watching how the games so far have played out, why is everyone so confident about , well, anything right now?
Everyone still saying Ohio State doesn't belong, and that Oregon will take FSU easily, etc.
What we may have learned is that there is more parity than we thought. It also proves that sometimes schemes are more important than talent when executed correctly.
The best group of players do not always win. But the best team usually does.
