Both suck.

The best large city in the South is Nashville with Charlotte in second.
The best smaller city in the South is Charleston with Chattanooga in second.

Moved there for a year and a half after graduation. It's my favorite place I've lived.

Charleston is awesome especially for a college kid. Savannah is nice to, especially for St Patrick's Day.

Atlanta is a soulless cluster of Suburbia. New Orleans, just the opposite.

This seems pretty accurate. The South is like the reverse of Europe; it gets shittier the farther west you go.

I'd say that Atlanta is really in a different tier though because it's at least twice as big as N.O, Charlotte or Nashville.

Charlotte is my favorite biggish city. Savannah is tied with Wilmington for me for moderately sized cities. Charleston is too Ohioish.

I agree with this except I would replace Chattanooga with Asheville (frickin love chatt though).
