SCAR started a new era.

This is the final nail in the coffin for Al Golden. Losing to a putrid SCAR team. Miami will soon be in the hunt for a coach and rebuild the ACC to the power it once was.

With what money do they start this endeavor?

He's pulled in a few decent recruiting classes. UM would be stupid to let him go right now. And who are they going to get that would be better?

He will be on a very short leash next year......

I'll tell you what Miami's problem is.
It's the same problem schools like Ole Miss and USCe have.
Go back 4 years on 247 sports and look at their recruits. The top 5 in each class are badasses.
But after the top 4,5,6 guys, the dropoff is tremendous.
Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and FSU are just raping south Florida.
Murray and Orson Charles, Tampa. That used to be Miami territory.
Sony Michel and Isaiah McKenzie, both Ft Lauderdale. Used to be Miami Territory.
Ryne Rankin, Reggie Wilkerson, AJ Turman, all 4* Orlando guys. Used to be Miami territory.
That's just who Georgia has taken in the last 3 years. There's probably a few more I'm not thinking of.

Damn good question. I don't think unquestioned coke money is an option anymore. Never was anything but a PFP scam anyhow, good riddance to them.

Dabo bought himself at least five more years at Clemzen by beating us, if we're going by the ratio.

Dabo - Nah. He has the taterheads hoodwinked. We'll beat them the next five years and he'll still be around.

Georgia,...
Remind me again, what is SCAR's record vs UGA these past five years?

Ease back brah.
I was pointing out Miami's shittiness being directly related to recruiting; they lose their top south flarda players to Florida, FSU, Geuxja, Bama. That's why Miami sucks.
It harkens back to when you talked about the quality of blue collar vs blue chips.
Miami has had plenty of blue chips every year, 4 or 5, but their blue collar guys are all JC level players.
Nobody in Florida wants to go be a backup at Miami.
I know this makes sense to you.

Recruits who have common sense don't want to go to a school that doesn't have its own stadium and has to rent one and have only a few thousand "fans" show up to play Wake or Duke or whatever. The University of New Jersey at Coral Gables was going to close down the football program in the 1970s..it was pathetic.
There is no $$ to hire a name coach. They are lucky as hell to have Golden. UCF has surpass them as the third best school in the state.

People can't defend Golden any longer. This team regressed from 9-4 to 6-7. 16-16 in ACC play. Shannon got fired for less (and no, not because of Shapiro).

I ventured over to the canesinsight.com board the past couple of weeks. Those fans want Golden gone bad, and have been screaming it before our game even. I don't know if we beat them bad enough for him to get fired though, really who are they gonna get if he leaves? Butch Davis would love to come back I bet, but is that gonna happen?

As Helen Keller once signed: "I can't see this."
The only UM Miles leaves LSU for is located in Ann Arbor, Meechigain. He has lost exactly nothing in Coral Gables, FL.
