anyone from the south who doesn't live in Nashville most likely lives in some sort of an area that someone not from the south could justify as being a shithole. Nashville has it's not so nice areas too but we all know the south is a shithole that's behind the times anyways. Just gotta enjoy it for the things we do get. Like good food and football.

Of course New Orleans is more than Bourbon Street but its what you're known for. A stinky, filthy, whore filled, bar district. If you don't like that reputation then get rid of it. But of course you won't because the majority of you tolerate it. So a soft spoken 20 year old points out what we all know. Deal with it.

Ironically, the same is said about your fan base. I'm sure you're just fine with the broad generalization.

Bama fans are quick to bash New Orleans but are very much offended when someone points out the fact that their fan base is viewed by the majority of the country as crazy rednecks. I remember 104.5 here in Nashville dedicating an entire morning segment to letting callers call in to tell stories of Bama fan encounters. It was hysterical. This was right after the one fan punched Mett and yelled RT.

eta and Cowherd had a huge segment on it one day that was also hilarious

I've been to both Nashville and New Orleans multiple times. Nashville, for the most part, is a very clean city and alot fun to be had.

I prefer New Orleans though to spend my tourist bucks, just love the culture, food, and vibe it puts off, but that's just me.

Cooper wasn't insulting your fan base. He was insulting New Orleans. And if the people of New Orleans don't like their reputation then they can clean up Bourbon Street. That's not a fan tee-bagging or poisoning a tree. It's a state supported shite hole. Clean it up or live with the the reputation.

Don't get me wrong. I like NO. I have family there and have been to some really high end classy parties. But you get your reputation from Bourbon St. Not the nice folks in the garden dist.

for every one person that hates the reputation there are 5 that love coming to New Orleans to gamble and drink and eat. And Cooper didn't insult New Orleans. He said he didn't like it.

I don't like onions, is that insulting to onions?

you're a bad troll old man.

I love New Orleans. My family is from South LA. It has an issue with crime but it fuels the Louisiana economy and there is a lot of fun to be had at festivals and just the bar scene in general. The dirtiness comes with the amount of tourists combined with being so near the ocean.

Cooper should watch his mouth. The Saints could very well draft his arse.

if so, he wouldn't be living anywhere near where it stinks in New Orleans. Unless he just wanted to stay close to his roots.

Why would New Orleans want to clean up Bourbon St? Alot of tourism is brought in which equals revenue for the city.

Besides, New Orleans has a very distinct history. The Storyville District where Basin St was in was the original "Bourbon St". Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's where jazz was born. Bourbon St pretty much took over from Basin St when the old Storyville District was shut down.

Now you can whale on Storyville all you want, but it's a distinct part of our American history, as New Orleans is as a whole.

he's assuming most New Orleans/LA residents dislike New Orleans, which is not even a little bit true. Maybe some old timers, but most understand it's purpose and just wish they'd do something about the crime.

Honestly, If any team in the SEC had the amount of success that Bama has had over the past 6 years, the same kind of things would be happening to them.

When will the anger cease? Get over it, Amari Cooper doesn't like you city. He didn't like NYC either, and that's the best city in the world.

The crime I can understand, but ya know, I've never once had a problem when in New Orleans, and the Quarter for that matter. The cops make themselves very visible in the Quarter, they let the tourist have their fun, but also make it known they are there to protect and keep the peace with their presence.

I understand the high crime being an issue, but atleast in the Quarter, it's obvious New Orleans is trying to keep it safe there, it's the smart thing to do since New Orleans depends on alot of tourist dollars.

Exactly!

The saints run a lot of plays. Imagine having to hold your breath that long.

Yea i'm sure he, a wide receiver, would rather go to a team with bad QB play (most early picks in the draft are in this position) instead of a team with a top 3 QB in the league right now
