frick! Forgot all about PorkSammich.

His true obsession is Auburn in general. I would have to check, but he might still have a quote from Ellis Johnson as his signature quote (from 2010 when Auburn torched his defense).

Bowl games are always relevant. It can help or hurt recruiting, and it's added to the W/L column like any other game. To say otherwise is silly.

No, they are not. If you are planning to declare for the draft, I can't imagine why you would play in a non-championship game -- unless you think it could significantly increase your stock.

These consolation bowls should be about getting next year's team some quality practice and game reps. If you aren't coming back or going out as a senior, no point in you playing. Go ahead and get started prepping for the combine.

Now, before any of you guys start on the,"They owe it to the team to play. You just don't understand how athletes feel about competing." or some other such tripe.

Answer me this, why does no one get mad when a coach takes a new job and doesn't coach the bowl game?

Because these games don't mean shite unless you're playing for the championship and everyone knows it.

Photo of a black eye floating around but looks to be hanging with the players. No one knows for sure if he gets in the game that I have seen anyway.

If he isn't going to play, will Gustav let us know in enough time to factor that in on the line for gambling purposes?

TIA.

I know a few people have spoken about his attitude over the year and he's been in a couple of fights but damn, this kid went out in the iron bowl on one leg and gave more effort than anyone could ask for a team that wasn't going anywhere else. If I were an Auburn man that would be more than good enough for me to give him the benefit of the doubt. Here's to hoping he plays but I want him gone after the bowl game. He will be really good next year with JJ coming in.

A lot of the rumors about him don't match up with reality in my opinion. People claim he has caused chemistry problems, but the worst game Auburn's offense played all year by far was the game he missed at Georgia. Auburn's offense played at least fairly well in every game he was on the field.

The defense was largely the reason Auburn underachieved this year. The idea that Duke caused chemistry problems, but those problems only bothered the defense sure as hell doesn't make any sense
