At the same time Les is letting instate SEC quality Runningbacks land at South Alabama.

Maybe LSU used up all their luck in 2007 by winning the national championship after losing to both Arkansas and Kentucky in the same season.

The luckiest play of the Georgia game in 2013 also involved the referees giving Georgia credit for a touchdown they really didn't score

You can't dismiss the coach that has a great offense but loses games because of his awful defense. He is responsible for both sides of ball else he be like Sumlin.

24 points is supposed to be a serviceable sum now?

10 of the 14 SEC teams averaged more than 24 points per game in 2013, and the 11th averaged 23.8 points per game.

That figure is pedestrian

2013 LSU = 2014 Auburn

Outstanding offense full of play-makers, yet a defense that continued to find ways to lose games.

Both teams had offenses with enough caliber to win the National Championship...

The Alabama loss was on both the offense and the defense. You can't expect to win games when your offense scores just 17 points.

Just like our loss at Ole Miss was on both the offense and the defense.

Sometimes you have it good on one side and sometimes on the other, doesnt happen very often to have a great offense and great defense. The fact is we lost a ton of talent from 2011 and 2012 going into 2013 on D. This is evidenced by being left with DJ Welter as the starting MLB on an SEC team.

that talent masked cams deficiencies as a oc last year. This year cam couldn't even improve the qb play a smidge as the season went on. we also saw puzzling and stupid game plans. I saw it last year in the ole miss plan but many blame the d and mett only for that when it was as much the shite oc game plan.

However last year was a massive failure considering our talent level.

When John Chavis is your DC? Absolutely, when the offense isn't on.

Not against SEC teams they didn't.

A lot of truth in that. Bama's 2010 offense had Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, Julio, Maze, Barret Jones, etc. It had more losses than all but one Saban team at Bama. The defense was young that year. Just halfway giving you a hard time.

8/14 teams averaged at least 24.0 points in conference play in 2013, so, again, 24 points is a paltry sum.

So I was right.

So basically, it's about average, and considering we have John Chavis, we expect to win when the offense puts up an average performance.

All I see from LSU fan are various excuses that try to take the blame off Miles. He is the head coach. He is responsible for the defense, filling the gaps early departures leave and every other excuse you can think of. So, Carter is correct, Miles squanders talent.
