I was looking at Wisconsin's athletic site to catch up on their coaching change and other stuff pertaining to the Outback Bowl. The second headline said something like "#3 ranked women's hockey..."
Didn't even know this existed. Why can we not even get men's
lacrosse or soccer, when other schools get freakin' chicks on ice? I could understand if they were hot, but I don't imagine that to be the case.

Yea it's a thing. Their team is pretty good, 4 national championships. Tied for most in the country. The Men's team is damn good too. Sieve!

Most looked like butch softball players, though.
And as far as us getting men's soccer, I am all for it.
What "conference" does KY play in...or how does it work as far as competing?

Title IX.
And it's the same how Auburn has equestrian and Wisconsin doesn't. You have so many scholarship for guys and gals. How you divide those scholarships up and what sports you want for both men's and women's is up to each school's athletic department.
That's why you see UVA, UNC, and the mid-Atlantic schools with scholarship lacrosse programs, northern schools with scholarship hockey and wrestling, etc.
Auburn's ladies athletics spends a lot of full scholarships on gymnastics and equestrian. Two programs Wisconsin doesn't have.

Yeah. I used to watch the men's collegiate hockey championships when they used to air it on ESPN. It was intense.

Cool. Haven't had time to watch since being in college. Growing up and getting a 6 day a week job blows.

Don't they flood Michigan's stadium every year too for some outside game?
Posted on 12/24/14 at 10:16 am to Mister Tee
Not every year, both Michigan and Wisconsin do it occasionally though.

That looks cool. Fans are closer than a normal winter classic.

Try to go when they decide to have another one at Randall. Madison is a great town.

Always wanted to go there. Only heard good things about the whole town.

They can be very hot and very physical. Like gymnasts, ballet dancers, and women who ride - hockey chicks should be on your bucket list.

I think you meant UK as there are several DI teams in the state that play soccer including the Looserville Line Beards. Cats and Cocks both play in CUSA and if 2 more schools get added it will become a SEC sport.
