I have begun pulling resources from the FCMR brigades and have created Richt's resistance. The Richtsistance. We must destroy the head of the snake before we focus on the body. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Ok..this is an honest question and not some smartassery..I just don't feel the spite against McGarity. What has he done?

I thought we were happy when McGarity came aboard? A solid professional replacement for the panty man we had in place. We paid Grantham and paid Pruitt...two hires most thought positive. We landed Rocker which most felt good. Pulled in solid hires for various coordinator positions along the way. Our head coach hasn't held us hostage for a huge raise at any point.

As far as I can tell, McGarity has been a good steward with our resources.

The IPF thing is completely unnecessary but likely going to happen anyway.

We haven't done anything stupid like expand our stadium for no good reason. We aren't paying 5 coaches (AU) tons of cash that no longer work for us.

As for Bobo, nobody knows what happened. My guess is he sat down with CMR and decided it was the best move for him and his family. It was time. Dude made a decision that could likely land him back at UGA as head football coach one day and almost tripled his salary. Should we have paid him $1.2 million? Most people wanted his head after USCe. Many boasted over the last few years how nobody else wanted him and for that he sucked. Somehow it has been positioned that Bobo wanted to stay and McGarity wouldn't pay him without any proof to this position.

So what has McGarity done? Honest question. I am all for jumping on the frick the man boat, just need some ammunition.

Solid post.

But, it won't fit on a bumper sticker, so herd animals are to going fear, mock, and ultimately reject it.

Sorry. It's just how things are here.

Alot of folks on this board also said that there's no way we should take a HC that doesn't have previous HC experience....or promote from within for the role.

If you assume that UGA Admin feels the same way, how would CMB ever have a chance at the UGA HC job if he DOESN'T go somewhere else first?

This was a probable outcome. Richt will likely be HC for 5+ more years. For Bobo to progress in his career, he needed to move on to HC position which he did. Only All In Auburn offers HC salaries for assistant positions. Richt will likely hire another cheap understudy to learn his pro-style offense and our admins will be pleased.....

The issues with mcgarity are much deeper than the bobo issue. The issue with mcgarity is the issue with Evans as well. I've heard best writers talk about a very real and growing animosity between the football program and the athletic department. The program is pushing for change and the athletic department is half assing it. The IPF is just one example.

Hey,not a huge fan of McGarity but I'm not sure even if we matched the 1.5 Bobo was gonna stay even if he got the dreaded HCIW title.

Now if we lose Pruitt to A&M because of his cheapness,I'll be absolutley pissed.

And exactly who pays his salary? Who does he report to?

Should he ignore his boss because the fans want something different?

Heard Radi on the radio this morning tossing it around. They did give Chavis a call at LSU...hence the recent salary bump and contract.

A&M has some deep pockets and they're being
pretty proactive in shopping the job around.

I will melt like I have never before if we lose Pruitt due to our AD's frugality.

Seems like Georgia is about to find out the same thing Wisconsin has found out in recent years....paying the assistant coaches might be kind of important.

Pruitt not going to A&M per Dash on Rivals. Credits source close to A&M's program.
