These are somewhat important rankings IMO.
It's not like the majority of football players are enrolled in the Engineering college at GTech. The idea of college athletics is to get kids educated while they play sports. Graduating players is important. Not graduating players is bad.
While I agree that graduating players is important....this ranking isn't school vs school graduation NUMBERS...its based on average of graduating male students at that school...plus other factors.
You will have a hard time selling academics is superior at Bama vs Ga Tech...I aint buying.

That's not what they said, though.

So Alabama is now a better academic school than ga tech?

Their "acedemics" are better.

Bama is very weak academically.
There was an article a few years ago measuring grade inflation at Universities and Bama was pretty high on the list.
If you fail out of bama, you're probably less intelligent than your average cat turd.

I dont know about that report but, I can say this having a kid about to graduate in this state, both schools recruited him for academics, but Auburn had the tougher entrance requirements and far more competition regarding scholarships.

There is no doubt. There was a study done a few years ago I will look for in a minute, that rated AU as one of the toughest graders in the country.
In the meantime, here are a few tidbits. In this first link you will see AU at one end of the spectrum of grade inflators and UGA, Bama and UF at the other. See 4th chart down.

Article from Ivey College Prep:

Grades are, for all intents and purposes, a charade: they can be inflated, deflated, or changed into numbers. The key role grades should play is to inspire an insatiable curiosity that feeds on knowledge and searches for truth. Using grades to recognize superior performance tends to attract this result. Such schools as RPI, Princeton, Boston University, VCU, Purdue, Reed, Harvey Mudd and Auburn control their grading; it’s an effective way to nurture academic excellence.
Article from a few months ago from Alabama's own school publication (Crimson and White):

Yet the game of attaining a high GPA actually results in a misrepresentation of your academic success and, thus, an illusory facade of your intellectual capabilities. The University of Alabama itself is notoriously known to inflate the grades of the introductory classes to supposedly balance the hardness of the upper level classes.

Just pointing out how dumb you are and backing it up son.
Here is another (I can find dozens and everyone rates AU as one of the toughest graders of public universities - and bama one of the easiest. FL is also a soft grading university overall).

schools where it’s toughest to get good grades including MIT, Boston University, Reed College, Harvey Mudd, Purdue University, Auburn University and California State University-Fullerton.

Can't copy from the article, but click the link and see where AU is #1 in the South and Midwest for toughest graders.

I'll keep finding more if you want from numerous studies and Phd's.
As I said, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Quote from Duke University PHD.

University ranks fourth in grade inflation list
Long nights in the library studying is usually how Auburn students make As, and a recent study shows those nights are longer at Auburn than most other universities in the South.
Stuart Rojstaczer is a former Duke professor who founded gradeinflation.com, a website that shows trends in grade inflation.
“Auburn doesn’t seem to be having as large a problem as other institutions,” said Mary Ellen Mazey, associate provost for academic affairs.
On his website, Rojstaczer compiled a list of the four toughest grading universities in four separate regions: East, South, Midwest and West.
In the South region, Auburn ranks fourth, behind Virginia Commonwealth University, Hampden-Sydney College and Roanoke College, respectively.
In his study after introducing Auburn as No. 4, Rojstaczer said, “Eat your hearts out Bama: Auburn is just a tougher place to earn an A.”
According to Rojstaczer’s work, GPAs nationally have increased each decade of the last 50 years.
“I have data on average GPAs for over 200 schools across the country,” Rojstaczer said. “Given its level of selectivity, Auburn grades tougher than national averages.”

Attention high school seniors: if you’re looking for an easy “A,” Auburn University probably shouldn’t be at the top of your list of potential college choices.
A study by former Duke Professor Stuart Rojstaczer puts Auburn in what he calls the “Sweet 16? of the toughest grading colleges in the country.
Rojstaczer created GradeInflation.com to illustrate a pattern of colleges “inflating” grades over the past several decades. His findings show an undeniable trend of more and more students being given higher and higher grades in recent years.
In 1940, only about 15 percent of students received an “A.” By 2008, that number had risen to roughly 43 percent.

So proud of 95% of those players graduating with sport management or sociology degrees.

Yeah, if I was you I wouldn't read it either as I'm making you look like a fool with your post earlier.
I can keep going with links, quotes, studies, etc but I think you get the point.
