I'm just curious if anyone knows what EJ is planning on doing now.

Does he coach another game? Would a lower-tier team take the risk and hire him as their DC?

Did you know that since EJ started coaching in 1975 he has never stayed at one University more than 3 years.

Lots of speculation in USCe country that CSS is "getting the band" back together. Will keep Ward but bring Ellis back.

That would be hilarious. They go from Muschamp being a "lock" for them (he has put a bid in on a house there).............to Ellis Johnson being back.

He is an average coach. I have no clue how he keeps a job. I would be beyond pissed if I was a USCe fan.

ETA:

nB4 someone post stats of his one good year as a DC 5 years ago.

Agree. He was horrible as a head coach and average as a DC, overall. For a former defensive end and long time coach I was very disappointed in the clear lack of fundamentals and discipline. Honestly I think some of these older coaches just aren't keeping up with the evolution of the game.

They told us when we got him he was nothing special & they were right. He's only had an "above avg" (not great) defense a couple of times. His 2010 defense was not anything special & that I believe was his best defense he ever put on the field at USCe.

We were so bad in 2012 and defensively in 2011 we were just glad someone would accept the job. I still don't think he did terrible x and o wise but he wasn't a motivator nor did he inspire. I believe the defense has talent issues and energy/motivation are needed to over come this issues.

Good point lanier - he's probably going to do what any of us would do with a couple mil owed to us for doing nothing.

Me - that'd be a one way trip to prime caribbean bone fishing spots

You got that right. Nobody would be able to contact me to interview for a while

i would be one sunburnt, drunk, fat asses fisherman for about 4 solid months.

I would hop from Dominican Republic to Turks every two weeks till I was sick of looking at all that beach arse.

Would take a while
